Embed Campaign Monitor in your site or application

You can embed Campaign Monitor in an iframe and skip the login process for your customers, using our API single-sign-on method. You can also remove some of the navigation elements of Campaign Monitor, if you want to restrict what a user can access in the interface, or create your own custom navigation.

This feature requires software development skills. To embed Campaign Monitor, you will need:

  • an integrator ID
  • your client API key and client ID
  • to make an API call each time the page is loaded that Campaign Monitor is embedded in, to retrieve a session URL
  • to parse the session URL response, and use the URL as the iframe source

Request an integrator ID

Before you can embed Campaign Monitor in your site or application, you will need to register for an integrator ID. To do so, contact us and include the following details:

  • your company name
  • a short description of your integration
  • an email address the integrator ID can be assigned to

If your integration is approved, we will email your integrator ID to you.

One integrator ID can be used for multiple integrations and multiple accounts.

Embed Campaign Monitor

After you've received your integrator ID, to embed Campaign Monitor:

  1. Find your client API key and client ID.
  2. Follow the instructions for API single-sign-on to retrieve a session URL.
  3. Use the session URL from the API response as your iframe src.

A new session URL must be requested for every page load. If a URL is used more than once, the person viewing the page will see the error message: "Sorry, we've run into a problem".

Session cookies are removed if there's been no activity from the logged-in user for 14 days.
