Landing pages

Landing pages are self-contained webpages created for a specific purpose. Unlike standard websites, they focus on a single conversion objective, such as collecting newsletter subscriptions, event registrations, or leads interested in a product or service.

Landing pages are simple to create, customize, and publish. They do not require you to make any changes to your existing website or have coding knowledge. Each page is fully hosted and a shareable link is provided for distribution across email, social media, online advertising, and other promotional channels. Every landing page also includes a QR code that can be used in offline materials such as print advertising or signage.

How to create a landing page

You can create new landing pages via the Signup forms section of your client's account.

  1. Click Signup forms.
  2. Click Landing pages in the left menu
  3. Click Create a landing page.
  4. On the ‘Create a landing page’ screen, select a list and a template, then click Continue.

The list you select serves as the primary list that new subscribers are added to when their details are captured by your landing page.

Templates give you a starting point for your design. Choose from the available options, or select Start from scratch to begin with a simple form. You can change your template from within the landing page builder at any time.

If you select a list that already has a landing page, a banner will appear. Select a different list or click Edit to open the existing form. Each list can only have one landing page. If you edit the existing form, any saved changes will update its design.

Build and customize your landing page

The layout of your landing page is built using a series of sections. Sections are self-contained layouts that hold different types of content. You can add as many sections as you like to a landing page, and each section can include multiple blocks of various content types.

To make edits, first click on the section or content block you wish to modify. Text content can be edited directly in the WYSIWYG editor, and other editing options will appear in the left sidebar. You can preview the edits you make on the same page and toggle between desktop and mobile views.

The form

All landing pages must contain a form. It is included within the landing page by default and cannot be deleted.

To access the form settings, click on your landing page’s form block, or the cog icon in the sidebar. The Form settings panel allows you to configure which custom fields are included, create new fields, modify the form’s language, and include options such as permission checkboxes and privacy policy links. You can also specify additional lists for subscribers to opt in to from within the Subscriptions section.

When using the ‘Opt-in to multiple lists’ feature, subscriber data is synced with fields that have matching names and data types across the selected lists. To maintain a consistent experience and prevent subscriber confusion, all included lists should use the same opt-in method, either single opt-in or confirmed opt-in.

Styling

You can customize the appearance of your landing page by applying styles. These include options for colors, fonts, text transformations and decorations, borders, shadows, and more.

When you select a content block and adjust styling options in the sidebar, your changes will only apply to that specific block.

Clicking the brush icon in the sidebar opens the Default Styles panel where you can select color and typography themes for your landing page, as well as set default styles for text, form, and other elements, or reset styles.

Modifying the style of Elements updates all existing instances of that element across the landing page, except for individual blocks that have been customized. The updated style also applies to new content you add to the landing page.

Themes update the overall color palette or fonts used by your landing page by changing the appearance of multiple page elements simultaneously. When applying a theme, you can choose to update default styles only, or overwrite all styles including those applied to customized blocks and sections.

A dark mode palette is also available, allowing you to customize styles for visitors who have dark mode enabled on their device. To preview your landing page in dark mode, click Dark mode, or click the moon icon in the header to toggle the dark mode preview.

Add content

Click on the plus icon in the sidebar to open the Add content panel where you can add new blocks and sections to your landing page. There’s no limit on the number of sections you can add, and each section can include multiple content blocks.

You can add the following types of content blocks: text, heading, countdown, image, video, divider, social link, and social proof. When a new block is added, it appears at the top of the selected section, or column. To adjust the order of blocks within a section, select a block and use the up and down arrows in the toolbar.

You can also add new sections to your landing page design. New sections are added to the bottom of the page by default. When adding a section, you can choose from single column or split column layouts, or select from options that come pre-populated with content blocks. While a section is selected, options to customize it will appear in the sidebar. To add content to the section, click on the plus icon in the sidebar while the section remains selected, then click on a content block. If your page contains multiple sections, you can reorder them using the up and down arrows in the selected section’s toolbar.

To duplicate a section, click the copy icon in the section’s toolbar. The duplicated section will appear directly below the original.

To remove a section, click the trash icon. You cannot delete the section that contains the form.

Change template

To change your landing page template, click the templates icon in the left sidebar. This will load the available templates for you to choose from. Selecting a template will apply it within the landing page builder.

Please note that applying a new template will replace all of the content you have created, resetting your landing page to the chosen template as a starting point. If you change your mind after applying a template, click Undo in the notification that appears, or refresh the page before saving.

Save your landing page

As you’re customizing your landing page, click Save as draft to save your progress. In the dialog that appears, you can click the link to preview your page, or copy the link to share it. This link is ideal for sharing with stakeholders for review purposes, as subscriber sign-ups and visitor activity are not recorded when the page is accessed via the preview link.

Publish and share your landing page

When you are ready to make your landing page live, click Publish. Until published, your landing page remains in draft status and is not accessible to visitors.

Once published, a dialog appears with a View page button to open your landing page, or you can copy the page link to share it. You can also scan the QR code to access your page, or download it for easy offline sharing. A preview link is also available from this dialog.

Further changes you make to a published landing page will not appear until you save again. If you want to get the link or QR code without saving changes, click the share icon in the left sidebar of the landing page builder.

To make your landing page unavailable to visitors, click Unpublish. Your preview link will continue to work after unpublishing, and any data collected by your landing page while it was published will be retained.

Managing landing pages

To access your landing pages, click Signup forms in the primary navigation, then select the Landing pages tab.

Your landing pages are listed with columns for Name, Subscriber list, Status, Subscribers, Visitors, and Conversion rate. The status column shows whether each landing page is a Draft or Published. You can sort any of the columns by clicking the column header.

You can create, share, rename, and delete your landing pages. Click the overflow menu next to a landing page for the following options:

  • Share: Get the link, preview link, or QR code for your landing page.
  • Rename: Enter a new name in the dialog that appears, then click Save.
  • Delete: Permanently removes the landing page from your client's account. This action cannot be undone.

Reporting for landing pages

We track the number of subscribers and visitors each landing page receives and calculate a conversion rate to help you assess performance. Reporting data reflects a rolling 90-day window. This data is available in the ‘Landing pages’ section of your client's account, which provides an overview of all your landing pages. You can also view reporting data for the landing page you are currently editing by selecting the reporting icon in the left sidebar of the landing page builder.

Some useful things to know about reporting:

  • Visitor tracking on landing pages is based on the user’s internet browser, with no expiration period. Repeat visits from the same person using the same browser, regardless of elapsed time, or after a browser update, register as the same visitor rather than a new one. A new visitor appears only if the user accesses the page via a different browser or private browsing mode.
  • If a visitor submits multiple subscriptions to the same landing page form using different email addresses, the visit count increments accordingly with each submission. This behavior can occur when the landing page is accessed on a shared device, such as a tablet or kiosk at an event, or when testing a landing page.
  • When using the ‘Opt-in to multiple lists’ feature, a landing page’s total subscribers will include those added to both the primary list and any additional lists selected by the subscriber. If a subscriber joins multiple lists simultaneously, the visitor count adjusts to match the total number of list additions. This ensures the conversion rate remains accurate.
