About Campaign Monitor for Wordpress

With the Campaign Monitor for Wordpress plugin, visitors to your WordPress site can sign up to a Campaign Monitor subscriber list, so you can create and send beautiful, personalized emails to your audience.

Create and customize signup forms from your WordPress dashboard, put one on every page or specific pages you select. You can also A/B test which form type is more successful for you.

Version 2.x of our WordPress plugin is a significant upgrade. If you upgrade from 1.x, after the upgrade edit any existing forms to make sure they look as intended, and to make use of the new features.

Signup form styles

After you install the plugin, click Campaign Monitor in the left sidebar, then Forms. From this screen you can edit or delete existing forms by hovering your cursor over the form name, then selecting from the options menu.

The Campaign Monitor form management page in Wordpress

There are five types to choose from:

  • Slide-out — Position a floating tab at the top left or right, or bottom left or right of the screen. Clicking the tab will slide out a signup form. The tab label is taken from the subscribe button text.
  • Lightbox — Overlay a signup form while dimming the background of the site. You can show the form immediately after a page loads, after a specific amount of time, or after a visitor has scrolled down a specific percentage of the page.
  • Bar — A strap along the top or bottom of a page, that contains all the fields needed to sign up to the newsletter.
  • Button — Generate a button shortcode for a button that can be inserted in a page or post. The button shows at the bottom of the page, and loads the signup form as a lightbox.
  • Embedded — Insert a full signup form at the bottom of a page or post.

The slide-out and bar forms only show the first time someone visits a page. They will only see the form again if they close and reopen their browser.
